copenhagen island hotel
The hotel we stayed at in Copenhagen was called Copenhagen Island Hotel. It was so nice, well perhaps some may see too white or too clean, but I like the clean design. And I think after coming from the Jolly st Ermin’s hotel in London, that was supposedly several bills a night, but I personally don’t think it looks so b/c the building is so old an dour room felt very dark and … well old (which I guess it’s suppose to b/c the building’s been around since 18th century),… I digress, anyway, after coming from that to a hotel that in modern day looks it’s price, I was pleasantly pleased. Everything was white, bathroom was modern, big tub, glass countertops, free wireless internet, big bouncy bed, incredible flat screen tv (‘mermaid technology’??) and super yummy breakfast in the morning. So ya anyway, the hotel is built on a man-made island, and inside is all glass and white and wood. I don’t know if I could handle having glass countertops in the bathroom, I’m not neat enough to maintain it, but it was nice living in the luxury of it.
sea day #1
Breakfast stuffing my face
Lecture on Stockholm they only use crowns!!! Mah fan. NOT the same as norweigen or Danish crown.
Laid by the pool – bikini. Paul something mall cop playing on the outside deck while I laid there
Princess theatre way too cold.
Found dawn by pool under the shade.
St Petersburg lecture
Swing dancing is for fools. I’m no fool. Kidding. Just not for me.
Did my nails by pool
Afternoon tea – 2 scones, YUMMY omg clotted cream, jam, DELISH fat fat fat lamb. Delicious tea.
Played on deck 7 like fools. photo shoot that vibe. Practice makes perfect. Seriously. Vanity can screw it. Wouldn’t you rather have pretty shots than ugly mugs? My point exactly. Gotta do what you gotta do when no one is around to take your photo!
Captain’s dinner. Photos on stairs. Photos turned out not so awesome. Hack.
Walked around deck 7. Played carcasone, ate dessert, popcorn, tea, watched he’s just not that into you. About passed out on the chair on the outside deck. Love ‘movie under the stars’

wimbledon
It was the first Sunday after the championships had ended and centre court and no 1 courts weren’t treated back to their original state so when iwas there I got to see the original shape they were in of when the players last touched it. Baselines were completely worn out, could barely see the last white chalk markings… utter fangirl, federer and roddick were the last two ppl playing on centre court! How awesome was that?! They hadn’t even cleared the last Sunday schedule of play.
Apparantly there was a murmur in the press room, after the federer vs roddick match. Should they or should they not? And indeed they did. They clapped for andy when he walked into the room and apparently that was quite taboo as journalists NEVER clap for ANYBODY. How utterly bittersweat the feeling must’ve been as andy walked in. he played an incredible championship and still lost to federer. Quite honestly I think it was his to lose in the end. Damn those unforce errors.

effects
I think this time visiting London whilst walking around the evening with my dad and dawn was realizing noticing the effects of ww2. Not that there were shrapnel shells everywhere, but statues and some monuments on the embankment by the thames had holes gouged out, from bombs that were dropped nearby by the nazis. There were monuments erected in memory of the airmen, soldiers and sailors who risked their lives. Not trying to be sentimental or anything, but I think this time around, and not just in London, that I’ve understood a fuller appreciation of what the wars had meant to the generations past and how it’s shaped the countries affected by it.

as secure as it gets
The hotel we stayed at was located right on the kitty corner of the New Scotland Yard, Buckingham Palace, and some brigade of the queen’s men.
i'm surprised the m5 weren't right in front of us. ooOO then maybe james bond may be around to hang out with...

london shopping
Topshop let me down. Or maybe it was the end to end of females who were also shopping that put me off.
Selfridges > Harrods x 5. It’s opulence and flash is blinding. However one designer brand after another soon melts into one big giant meaningless brand. … except when it’s 50% off and I got some awesome stuff.

Wimbledon’s dope.
Point blank. Wish I could’ve run out onto the grass, rolled around, and sigh with ecstasy, but I think they frown upon that. Something about keeping the integrity of the grass and all…
plumpy plump plump
sketchhhh
Super sketch slightly drunk man taking our photo. Wells sketch. Luckily, I didn’t have to test my running abilities as I did get my camera back.
see that white bag alex is carrying? that's the drunk dude's bag of alcohol! he had him hold it while he had MY camera and insisted on taking our photo. actually he proposed it as 'pay me 20 pence and i'll take your guys' photo!'
quick london thoughts
Do not like Leicester Square. Bunch of hacks walking around peddling tickets for b-rated shows.
Quite stressful and difficult to enjoy one’s time when there are parents to be mindful.
Harrods is still harrods, except when there’s the one sale of the whole year on, Harrods is more like a sadistic tornado of consumerism. Cupcakes were lovely to look at. Couldn’t be bothered purchasing tea. Earl gray from tetly purchased from Costco will do just as fine.

it's about time

sigh
itøs OVERRRRR well almost over. vacay is almost over and then itøs time to come home to reality. not quite sure if i am ready to do so, but then again not sure how much longer i can do the whole family all around thing. love them, appreciate them, but not use to having to compromise 3 different ways. itøs exhausting.
i have been keeping track of my daily travels during the cruise, but entries are on my laptop. couldnøt be bothered to pay for the net minutes while there. rather spend the money on booze.
oh which, i didnøt even drink very much of and i think i ate more cheese (hey man, it was provided freely and it was expensive by vancouver standard cheese) than drinking beer.
will post the regular entries as soon as i know the internet password in this hotel or when i get home.
have about 5000+ photos!! i know i know itøs not about quantity, itøs about quality, but iøm sure damn glad i bought that 8gb card.
some memories?
-watching swan lake ballet in st petersburg at the bolshy theatre
-watching the consumeristic frenzy of ´toursits, my mum included, over some amber at the amber factory
-going redonkulous over trying to figure out how to take the best headshots on deck 7, with dawn
-the last sunset over the baltic sea
-the scandinavians are absolutely beautiful and i long to be in their golden shadow in hopes of gaining an ounce of their beauty
-the vigeland park. '6 minutes, such wisdom' such humanity, so much life in so many statues
-the multiple towel animals i made the steward make... i think that added extra work to his daily duties
-the amber room in catherinøs palace. one of the most amazing and intricute pieces of art iøve ever seen in my entire life
-the old town of tallinn and itøs surprising charms
-visiting wimbledon
-spending the day with alex while he trudged after me while i shopped my little heart out. poor dear, i put him thru the ringer on that one.
ohoh, and do i really look like iøm 14-16 yrs of age?! b-c i constantly kept getting the dubious looks of really... 'youøre legal. you can drink?' bloody hell...
so... that was just a short summary, all that i can think of right now. will post my previous entries soon.
ta da!

fat lamb.

plump
i know what iøm going to get fat on. not beer. oh no. iøm going to get plump on CHEESE omg i just had an awesome breakfast and i never eat breakfast. felt like a survivor contestent who was just told i was allowed to eat! so. much. cheeese.... heart cheese. HEARRTTTT ITTTTTT. :( iøm going to have stinky farts later...
leon
remember that movie, leon? or otherwise known as the assassin? it was on last night! natalie portmanøs very first movie at the age of 12. she was so brilliant in it. love that movie. watched it on the ømermaid technologyø tv ultra slim tv in the room. wonder how much it cost? probably not as much as the 83,500 pounds like the bang and olufson in selfridges... i wonder if i could sneak it into my suitcase. ... probably frowned upon.
cheshire cheese
is a pub thatøs been around since 17th century. there were plenty of ømind your stepø signs all over the inside of the pub. even IIIII had to mind MY step. iøm 5'2. and not yet a plump lambchop. which means, back in the 17th century ppl were like... 5'2 or under and WAYYYYY skinnier...
bobbies
wish i could post photos right now, but on a public computer. anyway, the updated bobby photo is one with machine guns. at least they were happy looking bobbies holding machine guns. did you know theyøre not allowed to take the photo, but can be in it? i guess that makes sense... canøt hold your machine gun and a camera at the same time!
perpetually sweating
just saying.... itøs perpetual and annoying and quite frankly not hawt. will be happy when cruise men take over the hauling luggage for parents. starting to feel like a pack mule who isnøt getting fitter by hauling luggage, but may be developing a beer gut from bending over with the weight.... and from the beer drinking of course.
sketch fest
letting a buzzed drunken brit hold your brand new camera b-c heøs insisting on taking a photo of you in front of the cheshire cheese lambpost. better to let him just do it lest he bonks us on the head with his can of beer. nonetheless we were poised to tackle him should he run. will post photo later.
free internet?!
what a concept! b-c i finally found free net access in copenhagen. pardon the danish keyboard like... æøøæøæøæøæøæø椤¤¤ fun right?
london was good. ate traditional brit food aka bangers and mash (like the radiohead song), drank beer, shopped at selfridges (google it b-c itøs baller. selfridges greater than harrods x 10), took my silly dorkass photos, and hung out with alexxxi. ÓH how can i forget, went to wimbleeddonnnn. centre and no 1 court are a lot smaller in the inside than it appears to be on tv, but i guess everything is like that. wasnøt allowed to touch the grass, b-c if i was allowed i wouldøve rolled around and rubbed myself all over it sighing with happiness... i guess itøs ppl like me is why they donøt let visitors go on the green.
arrived in copenhagen a bit late in the day., just ate at wagagamamas which i thought was only in the UK?! the hotel weøre staying at here is pretty baller. baller as in danish clean lines baller with the sickest flat screen ever. going to turn on every appliance just b-c i can.
ok i canøt think of anything witty to say as the witty comments are stored on my mac which iøll have to type back out here later. ... though youøre probably thinking you havenøt said anything witty this entire time! well whateves, iøm off my game.
oh ya, just remembered. selfridges. as i said, uber awesome, opulence, luxurious that really makes me question, ?! really bad sinking economy?! tell that to the rich folks in there buying up all the LV and gucci as if it was grocery shopping! but i guess we have to save somewhere, which is why there were TONS of ppl waiting to get their VAT back. hah. but ya, opulence to the max. how much? well they were selling a bang and olufson tv for... 83,500 POUNDS!!! thatøs POUNDS thatøs... 165000 CANADIAN DOLLARS.... though it was the most beautiful tv iøve ever seen...¨
ok, probably last post for awhile. tomorrow is a 5 hr copenhagen city tour before we finally get on the boat YAY! cruise time. time to get fat.
ciao xoxo

packing
is a bitch. don't care what ppl say, lists do not help visualize the wardrobe possibilities!
2 more sleeps until i bring out my inner-but-secretly-heart-euro-trash soul. love euro. will always love it. secretly, but not so secret, wish i was euro.
