british museum

okay, so i appreciate the british museum a bit more than the V&A, even though both places are really just spectacular ornate buildings filled with 'stuff' that the british had pillaged from every city and town they had visited... but the british museum has the elgin marbles so i feel like i've come full circle with the parthenon. i've seen it in person, i've seen the 'real' objects in the museum in athens, and now i've seen what the british has.

except, some heads of some statues are in the neatherlands... go figure. close enough i guess.

okay, so i'm not trying to dumb down my experience, but it's SOOO MUCHHH culture to take in, in 3-4 days. it's over load. ALL over london is sensory overload. i need longer in this city!
