Hi family, we're on the Eurostar train at st pancras in London waiting for it to depart for Paris. Farhan forgot his camera at Alex's place. He's very upset... I would be too. I hope he can still enjoy the rest of the trip. He still has his iphone4s so he can still take photos, but it's not the same. Yesterday we walked around regent park in London. It's a lot nicer than Hyde park. There are a lot of beautiful rose gardens everywhere and there's a lake where ppl can row boats or sit in bicycle paddle boats. Then we walked around the rest of the city. Lots of ppl everywhere, lots of walking. My feet hurt so much!! In some parts of London they have their flags hung like a streaming banner across the streets in rows down the street. So when you look down a street you can see rows of horizontal union jacks down the street. They also have Olympic banners hung the same way. The union jacks were from the jubilee and it remained there since then. It makes the city look much more festive and prettier. While walking around I found the patisserie shop I live called, Paul's patisserie. They sell the largest macarons you'll ever see, it's 4x the normal size. I got chocolate and pistachio. I ate the chocolate like a hamburger, holding it w/ two hands to bite into it, and shared the pistachio w/ Alex and clare.
Last night we had dinner w/ clare and alex at an indian restaurant in their town. It was good, but made us very sleepy.
Ok the train is about to leave and I won't have wifi.
Message you soon!!

Love you all,
Helen
