a different kind of pretty

alex - "parisian girls are a different kind of pretty."

me - "they're the natural, no make up pretty, beautiful. but vancouver has a lot of pretty girls too..."

alex - "ya, they do, but it's a slutty kind of pretty..."

me - pause "HAH so true..."

hah it's true, i see more naturally, no make up beautiful girls here than at home where it's make up hooched up city... omg are we ever slobs, wiht our lululemons and sweats that we wear on the streets. everbody here is so slicked up, no slobs, no joggers, they're dressed nice, even if it's just jeans or wahtever, they don't look like slobs! now i sound like a snot, but it's just an observation, north americans are more laid back (uh hum some can say lazy...?) i'm not trying to be a hypocrite as i've worn sweats out of the house, but the perspective i've gathered is it's b/c we're more... lazy, we don't care? or is that how it just appears...? i'm rambling...

i totally agree with you!!! north americans in general are just very lazy when it comes to getting dressed. lazy or fashionably blind. i'm not sure which.

so true! when i came home from euro, and was on the skytrain for the first time in 2 months, i looked around and realized everyone looked so dishevelled and trashy. it was depressing..
