happy days are here again.
there was an alessi store in one of the million gigantic malls in kowloon on canton road. i went apeshit in there. wish i had the $$ to buy it all. came upon it by accident, was looking for the loo when i found it. they had the achille castiglioni watch i had been wanting forever. it's gorgeous, simple and timeless (designed in the 60s). of course i picked up my usual allotment of spoons and forks... i don't know why i just don't buy a set, but i seem to buy random one or two of each whenever i'm in europe and find alessi products. i'm weird. anyway, this time 3 spoons and 1 fork. the fork is more of a show piece cause it has quite an exaggerated shape, it's by ettore sottsass. sigh i wish i could've played more in there...
