let it be known i will probably never have a more delicious palestinian or indian fare outside of london ever again. every time i go and eat w/ alexxi's mum, ann, i get well tanked on good food, spices and wine, and friday night was no exception.
tayyab is a pakistanian restaurant, think less curry and more marinated cured bbq meats. delicious aromas sizzling from the hot plates and coconut naan bread that i would die for. b/c it's a muslim restaurant, out of religious reason they cannot serve alcohol, so everybody brings their own stash of alchy. we stopped by the sainsbury local market and picked up 4 bottles of red wine. i figure hey, at least a bottle to each person right?!
the meats that came were SOOOOO favorable and delicious, couldn't believe it. despite the heaty spices playing havoc and stress in my mouth, i couldn't stop gobbling up everything in front of me. was most thankful for the yogurt mango drink that cooled me right down so i could keep inhaling everything. i don't think i ever took a break from the wine, the meats, the pumpkin, the chick pea, the aubergine oooo all so delicious.
it was all getting to be a bit much, i really should remember to slow down when eating as everything was stuck in my esophagus and wasn't going down to digest. i feared everytime i would bend over lest is all came back up!! gross yea i know. but man oh man, it was SOOOOOO GOOOD one of the best meals i've ever had. i THINK there are pictures of the food, but can't remember was i got well tanked on the wine.
