today, i went to hampton court. it was king henry viii's palace. it's HUGeeeeeee. different from versailles, less in your face and butt opulent, but still very grand. apparently, his hunting fields included all the way to worcester park and that's where i stayed at, w/ alexxi and his dad, the first time around. let's just say that's like having your palace in richmond and your hunting fields stretch further out to north van. baller... henry viii was a baller.
the grounds are also known for their flowers, fields, gardens, and the all-might maze. i was expecting it to take me longer than 10 mins to go thru, so it was well disappointing when i got to the centre and realized how small it was. the maze did not a-maze-me hahah i guess i was expecting a woodlen nymph or something to come out and greet me when i got to the centre...instead there were some loud german boys. guten maze ja??
there was also suppose to be the royal tennis courts, built in the 17th centre!!!! I LOVEEE TENNIS... BUT the courts were closed for renovations! they were building a roof over it!! urghhh disappointttment. apparently they were clay courts too... sounded like it was something i could've played on or at least walk around in!! gahhh oh well, going to eastbourne tomorrow morning for the last grass warm up tournament before wimbledon. at least i'll get to see some pros!! exciting.
